Two years ago, we had the pleasure of helping this client secure her mortgage. As her fixed rate was approaching its end date on 31/03/23, we were proactive in reaching out to her six months in advance. Staying with the current lender proved to be the most cost-effective solution for our client, so we swiftly submitted the product transfer application. The Mortgage Offer was issued the same day, with completion confirmed for the date of the current rate's expiry. As our client was already with us, the process was streamlined - no additional documents were required, and there was no need to instruct a conveyancer. It was a simple switch from one product to another.
However, our job didn't end there. We continued to monitor the entire market and the rates. Two weeks before completion, the client's current lender reduced their rates. This timing was perfect for us to revise the application and secure an even lower rate, dropping from 4.36% to 4.09%. This change will save our client over £1,250 over the next five years.
